Lord! Pitiful are we, grant us Thy favor; poor, bestow upon us a share from the ocean of Thy wealth; needy, do Thou satisfy us; abased, give us Thy glory. The fowls of the air and the beasts of the field receive their meat each day from Thee and all beings partake of Thy care and loving kindness. Deprive not this feeble one of Thy wondrous grace and vouchsafe by Thy might unto this helpless soul Thy bounty. Give us our daily bread and grant Thine increase in the necessities of life, that we may be dependent on none other than Thee, may commune wholly with Thee, may walk in Thy ways and declare Thy mysteries. Thou art the Almighty and the Loving and the Provider of all mankind.

Nous inspirons la pitié, accorde-nous ta faveur; nous sommes pauvres, donne-nous une part de ton abondante richesse; nous sommes dénués, pourvois à nos besoins, humiliés, donne-nous ta gloire. Les oiseaux du ciel et les bêtes des champs reçoivent de Toi chaque jour leur nourriture, et toutes les créatures prennent leur part de ta sollicitude et de ta tendre bonté. Ne prive pas cet être faible de ta grâce prodigieuse et, par ton pouvoir, daigne accorder ta bonté à cette âme abandonnée. Donne-nous notre pain quotidien, accrois tes bienfaits en notre faveur pour que nous puissions faire face aux exigences de la vie et rester indépendants de tout autre que Toi, que nous puissions communier pleinement avec Toi, marcher dans ta voie et proclamer tes mystères.
